My fiancé and I were visiting family and thought we would try this place while on a date night away from family. We got our spring rolls and those were good until we saw a black hair under the last one we ate. We got our food...we ordered a spicy chicken broccoli and it was not spicy and rather bland and salty we also had chicken pad thai tasted more salty than peanut. the chicken tasted salty and rubber like. We were not impressed we have many thai food places where we live and those are very good this place was not. The food was lacking flavor that I find in the thai places I eat at home. I asked my family about it and they said they heard only the sushi is good there.

Love this place. Have only had thai, but it has always been delicious and the owners/waitstaff are always gracious.

What was formerly occupied by Mio's Pizzeria is now a beachside establishment run by a veteran Thai restauranteur and featuring a top Miami sushi chef. In business since the beginning of 2008, and I hope it stays forever. Don't let the outside fool you, the interior is inviting. Sit at the sushi bar, one of several tables, or even outside when the weather is bearable. The menu is 7 pages, so tell Mr. Indecisive to browse their website before leaving home. The $12.95 Red Dragon roll is one of those rare dishes that begs to be eaten slowly. Topped off with a hefty portion of real crab meat, you won't want it to end. Their spicy miso soup perks my girl up when she's feeling under the weather. The waiters like to push the green tea and red bean ice cream. DO IT. Wonderful and so different. Solid service here. Attentive & genuinely friendly. Large amounts of take out traffic constantly rolling through. Free delivery within 3 miles. This should be on every Satellite Beach residents' rotation. They have posted a video on YouTube featuring their dishes. youtube.com/watch?v=2Acs…

We were here on vacation from ks, craved thai good thai food and was given suggestion by hotel for another place. Luckily another employee recommended this. The food was delicious, staff attentive yet gave us space, food was definitely fresh and hot, and food was so good! Definitely recommend! If you enjoy good thai you"ll love!

This is the best Thai food in this area! I've only had 1 dish here that I wasn't impressed with, the Duck. Everything else I've eaten on the Thai menu is excellent! I love the fact that I can order brown rice with my meal for only $1 extra; this turns my meal into a very healthy, guiltless one for a Diabetic. I've only eaten in around 6 times, mostly I get take out because the place is so small, but the food is worth the wait when I do decide to eat at the restaurant. Highly recommend!

I've been here for lunch a handful of times. The lunch specials are a bargain, the service is prompt and the food is good. I haven't tried the sushi, but the Pad Thai and the curry dishes are really tasty. My only two complaints - they are closed on Mondays, and the last time I was there for lunch the music playing was a tad loud and HORRENDOUS (light pop cover music - Celine Dion, etc.) Oh yeah, and I can't help but refer to the place as "Nipple Thigh" thanks to my 12 year old son!

This is one of the best Thai/Sushi restaurants I have been to in my life. There curries are amazing as is there sushi. They also have what I consider the best Seared Tuna (Tuna Ta take) I have ever had in my life. They also have no problem making things to order for people with dietary needs, such as Gluten intolerance, etc. The atmosphere is casual, the food is spectacular, and the service is very personable. This is a must if you are ever in Satellite Beach and hungry. They also deliver if you are within a 3 mile radius of the place.

I love this place for lunch, but damn are they slow sometimes. Went in for dinner once and only had about 30 mins to eat. We waited for 20 mins and finally got our food, but had to take it to go. The food is always great, and the people are nice - it's always on my rotation, but be prepared for slow dinners.

I tried this place on a whim a few months back and I have to say it was good eating. A friend and I stumpled into this place while waiting for our movie to start. We were in the mood for sushi, but were worried that we might not have enough time to order, eat and still make the movie on time. We decided to give this place around the corner a try. It's a little hole in the wall place, but very nicely decorated and clean. We ordered a few sushi rolls to share. I found their sushi prices to be very reasonable. But I was most impressed with the prompt service. We were able to get our food super-fast, enjoy our dinner, cash out and still make the movie with time to spare. The sushi tasted great and was fresh; the rolls were a tiny, tiny bit smaller than that of some of the other sushi joints I frequent in town, but not by much to make a considerable difference. I will definitely go back.

Great Thai joint in the 32937! Friendly service and super lunch specials. Perfectly portioned and seasoned - I would def try again for lunch or dinner! They have sushi too but we did not sample.

WOW! Really, really surpised to find excellent sushi and thai in SB! I go a few times every time I visit for lunch and dinner. The squid salad is the best and the sushi you cannot go wrong. All fantastic...even my friends dishes I have tried were really good. You need to go! Oh try the mango sticky rice for dessert!

Terrific sushi, thai food, japanese entrees and a few chinese as well. Really something for everyone, great prices and always always fresh. They even offer brown rice as a choice for rice dishes or w/ sushi. Our favorite spot for when friends visit or for take out anytime...plus they deliver.

we found nippon thai a few years ago while on vacation. we have since purchased property in cape canaveral. and several times a week we drive south to eat at nippon thai. noy & tommy treat us as if we are guests in their home. each time we go we both try something different. i prefer sushi. my husband prefers thai. he has visited thailand many times and says this is true thai food. they go out of their way to take care of us. my suggestion: try the tuna tower and finish with the sweet sticky rice with mango...oh boy....perfect.

I had the shrimp pad thai and it was a amazing! It's a small cozy place and very popular. Service is a bit slow and cokes come in a can. Well worth the trip for the food quality. The perfect amount of spice.

Food was OK, service was inexperienced at the sushi bar. I asked the "chef" for some recommendations and he suggested some wacky rolls. I was looking for sashimi. I ended up with a sushi boat and it was not great. The white tuna, in particular, was soggy and flavorless. Definitely a quantity over quality emphasis.

Last time I was there I loved it. I got the Pad Thai, it was amazing! Service was good although it was a little slow. Dress Code is casual, the place is nice but small. Probably the smallest restaurant I've ever been to. I also got a sushi platter that was also good. Also the location is perfect for where I live... It's literally 1 minute Away from me. I'm definitely going back.

This is such a great, small restaurant! Everyone is friendly, gets you seated & keeps an eye on you. We are always amazed how much Take-Out business they have. I had some dental work today, the Panang Curry was perfect. Great fresh food, individually prepared with ample portions. My husband enjoyed his Sushi Combo with that fabulous ginger-carrot dressing on the salad.

Food is good as always, but service is terrible! Called in a simple to go order of four items to be picked up and three of the four items were incorrect. Didn't realize it until we got home and of course had to turn around and go back bringing the wrong food to pick up the right food. Nine times out of 10 when we order from here, regardless of whether we dine in or get takeout, our order is wrong. Clearly the girl that works the front desk taking to go orders and cashing people out could use a little bit of common sense. She even had to use a calculator to figure out simple math when she overcharged me.

My husband had duck with red curry I posted the picture it was beautiful myself I had there was only one dish with crispy noodles I ordered the pork with the crispy noodles on the side it was absolutely wonderful we will definitely come back to this place the egg rolls are made here and they are also delicious

I love their Thai Fried Rice! I always order it with shrimp. Great flavor, plenty of shrimp, good sized portions! The teriyaki is very good. We usually order chicken. It's tender and not overly sauced. The miso has a nice rich flavor and is steaming hot. The pad Thai is super. You order it mild to spicy. It never disappoints. The few times we've had sushi, it has been fresh and delicious. Nippon Thai is a family favorite. Service is friendly, servers are attentive. Great place for dinner.

My husband and I went to this small beachside eatery expecting a splash of exciting thai flavor inside. Service was friendly and expedient in general and the small appetizers with a ginger salad plus miso soup were all very tasty in typical thai style. Many accolades were displayed on the wall for sushi and appetizers, wich represent the strength of the menu. The service and taste fell short with the traditional thai noodle entrees. Your choice of meat or shrimp and we chose chicken. The chicken did not taste fresh and had a seafood aura, as if they were stored or cooked together (poultry and seafood). We had a few sample appetizers that were great prior, but the over seasoned noodle dish with stale foul tasting chicken was repugnant...so bad nausea ensued later. The waitress checked her menu to make sure she wrote the order up correctly and then traded the dish for a rice plate upon request. We asked for pork but received the rice plate with chicken again. We frequently dine at thai restaurants, and have been to most in Brevard County and surrounding areas. Do not go here for thai noodle entrées unless they hire a new chef and change the menu plus presentation.

This is the perfect unpretentious neighborhood sushi restaurant and I'll probably never go anywhere else. The sushi is consistently above average, better than most I've had in Florida. Service is normally friendly and prompt; the one exception being a spacy girl who seemed to be the owner's niece, or something. Their lunch special prices are fantastic.

  • Jessica H.

Ordered the sushi and teriyaki steak combo. It was a lot of food, which is a plus. They included extra sushi in all three orders! They were prompt and kind in taking orders as well as delivery. As for the meal, the ginger salad was the worst I've had by far. It was dry and could hardly be called a dressing. The teriyaki was delicious, but not served with rice (so make sure you order some). The spring rolls were good, as were the sushi. Overall, the place was good, but not the best in the area.

Glad we found this restaurant early on our visit to Satellite Beach. Food is fresh and tasty. I had a curry and my husband had an avocado salad. We shared as usual and enjoyed it all. Comfortable, clean and friendly service. We will be back

My mom and her husband just bought the bar in the same plaza (The Thirsty Lizard...soon to be renamed) as Nippon and after helping them out one day, I suggested that we go here to have dinner. The Yelp reviews were good, and I just love Thai food! I was not disappointed. The shrimp pad thai was delicious, my mom's sushi was absolutely scrumptious! The restaurant owners, Noi and Tommy, were great! Tommy told us jokes while he made sushi and Noi was beyond friendly, making my mom and her husband welcome into their little community. Definitely some of the best Thai food I have ever had!

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. The place is small but efficiently run with about 10 tables. Our server was pleasant and the service efficient. It did take a little long for our main course but it was a busy Friday night and we did not mind the wait for an excellent meal. I always worry when sushi comes out too quick as it usually means it is pre-prepared. Not the case here, excellent sushi made by the chefs close by at the sushi bar. Pad Thai was also good. Overall a great place with excellent food and a reasonable price for the beach.

Our work's go to Thai restaurant since its near the Patrick Air Force Base. It's usually very busy, but some workers usually get the food done quickly. I would be lying if I said it's always an overall great experience, but there has been times where it wasn't on time. But they're friendly in general.

Nice, small place. The food was good, but pricey. We ended up with a $50 bill between the two of us..... My husband got the fried calamari and combination fried rice. The waitress argued with my husband when he asked for no onions in his fried rice, which was very uncalled for. I had the spring rolls and chicken satay - both were good.

This is our go-to for Thai and sushi delivery on the beach. The pad thai and tom yum with shrimp are always good. Seaweed salad too. Not too impressed with the crab rangoon and stopped ordering it. Had the octopus sashimi appetizer last night, along with the seared tuna. The tuna was sliced pretty thinly but was fresh and tasty. The octo was chewy yet not too bad. Not sure if it was fresh or frozen. Had some various sushi rolls and enjoyed them all. There are never leftovers from Nippon.

So Niki and I are big sushi fans. If given the chance Niki might eat nothing but sushi. She prefers the specialty rolls where I prefer individual pieces. Our two young girls enjoy sushi very much. The little one likes rolls with cream cheese while the older one likes sushimi, her favorite is octopus. I think she likes it because it is more unusual. Dont get me wrong it is not bad but far from my favorite piece of sush. So we have tried just about ever place in the area for sushi and the place we continue to come back to is Nippon Thai. It is very close to Patricks Air Force Base on A1A and if you aren't careful you will drive right by it, so keep your eyes pealed. Once there it doesn't look like much but when you get inside it is very nice and clean. They offer both Thai, Japanese, and Sushi here which seems to be the norm with similar restaurants in the area. All are excellent but most come here for the sushi. The service here is also very good and they are very helpful in suggesting items for new comers. Their specialty rolls are great and their pieces are very tasty and very fresh. Niki usually orders edemame to start for everyone to share. The kids find the exercise of removing the individual beans especially entertaining. I usually start with a green salad because I am seriously addicted to the ginger dressing, I need help! Try one of their desserts after your done enjoying your meal. I like the donuts personally or some nice green tea ice cream. It all just seems to go well with after this kind of meal. The nice thing about this place too is that they are not as expensive as they other places around. Give Nippon Thia a try for lunch or dinner and I bet it wont be your last visit.

Pretty much the best sushi in Melbourne. The freshest fish I have found in the area and prices that destroy Haru and are better than A Taste of Thai or Siam Orchid. Gotta try the Jalepeno Ocean Roll - it is an absolute symphony in your mouth. You willn't be disappointed!

I was very excited when I hear about Nippon Thai, but the rave reviews here and in the newspaper were just wrong. The place is small and old. The service was lacking in all departments, some sushi came out before appetizers, some sushi came to the table 35 min after appetizers after everyone was almost done with their meals. The waitress just ran around from table to table looking frantic. The sushi just was bad, Red tuna looking grey, spicy tuna rolls with no taste, dry tasteless salmon. I don't recommend, Haru is far better and even if this place cost less I'd rather pay a little extra to actually enjoy my meal

We dined at Nippon Thai for the first time shortly after they opened and for the second time on Saturday, October 9, 2010. Let me preface this review by saying that I am huge fan of Thai Thai II. Perhaps my years of dining at Thai Thai II is the reason I did not go back to Nippon Thai sooner. After seeing favorable reviews of Nippon Thai on Yelp, I thought it was time for me to see if there is something about Nippon Thai that I overlooked on my first visit. On my first trip to Nippon Thai ages ago, I had curry which was very good but, in my book Thai Thai II's curry particularly their Red and Yellow Mango are without peer. As such I was a little spoiled. I was not blown away on my first trip. On my most recent visit I had a small boat consisting of Sashimi (2 pieces each of tuna, escolar, and salmon) Sushi approximately six pieces, and a Rainbow Roll. The cost of this combo was $23.95 on par with pricing at Thai Thai. I think Siam Orchid at this price point would probably hand you the same Sushi and Sashimi but with a California roll instead of a rainbow roll at this price point. In my opinion the Sushi at Nippon Thai is better than Thai Thai II and gets my vote for best beachside Sushi. ( If I was handing our letter grades for Sushi I would give Thai Thai a B+ and Nippon Thai and A- and reserve the "A" for Nobu or Surfside Florida standout Sushi Republic, This is strong praise from an admitted Thai Thai fan). When we last dined at Nippon Thai it was a Saturday evening around 6:30. We got the last open free table when we walked in without a reservation (no idea if they take reservations). The place is small perhaps 15 tables inside and two tables outside. The staff was not adequately prepared for the dinner rush and it took the kitchen and Sushi chef about 30 minutes from the time we ordered until the food arrived. This is one place where Thai Thai II excels ... Thai Thai II delivers food quickly and knows how to turn over tables. Next time I go to Nippon Thai I will try to go on an off night or for lunch. According to other Yelpers they deliver. That staff and Nippon Thai are friendly and helpful. Between Hiru, Thai Thai II, Taste of Thai, and Nippon Thai beachside is crowded field for Sushi Thai restaurants. I am glad to see Nippon Thai's great food has not gone unnoticed. We will be back soon. (Update 1) Tried the Delivery: Can't believe that is was fast and free. The Ginger Dressing on their salad is on the acidic side and is nowhere near as good as the ginger dressing at Thai Thai II. As for the red curry, their curry is hotter, less sweet, and does not have pineapple in it which is what I like about Thai Thai. The chicken in the curry itself is more tender and moist at Nippon Thai. Next I will have to try their Pad Thai.

We went for dinner here on New Year's Eve and I'm glad we got there early because it was really busy! We ordered the spicy tuna roll, snowbird roll (hadn't ever seen one like it before on a menu) and a massamon curry with tofu. The rolls were both ver good. The curry was good, but not great. We also ordered a Thai iced tea and coffee, but they didn't have the coffee. The iced tea was good. As a special treat for New Years they brought mango sticky rice to tables for dessert and it was very good. We would eat there again if in Satellite beach, but there are places just as good in Cocoa Beach, so we won't make the trip down just for Nippon.

Amazing sushi! My boyfriend and I try different Thai restaurants often and this one is at the top of our list. We tried the Pad See Ew and it was really well done. We've had Pad See Ew at Siam Orchid and Thai Thai II but it is usually too soupy/runny. Not at Nippon- it was perfect! All in all, this is our favorite Thai restaurant in town now.

  • Alex R.

Solid sushi, pretty good Thai. Best part? If you live in the area they deliver! An order of curry and an extra order of rice is a good enough meal for the two of us.
